Orson Cornick is a highly experienced recruitment professional with a career spanning over 25 years.
As the Director of Paracruiter,a talent acquisition firm he founded in 2005, Cornick has been instrumental in building diverse and high-performing teams for leading companies in the life sciences industry.
Under his leadership, Paracruiter has partnered with globally recognized organizations such as Lonza, Evotec, Dynavax, and BioNTech, delivering strategic talent solutions across operations, commercial, HR, and engineering roles.
Orson's commitment to fostering inclusivity and innovation has made Paracruiter a trusted name in the industry.
Before founding Paracruiter, Orson built an extensive portfolio of recruitment expertise through senior roles at global organizations.
At Lonza, as a Senior Global Talent Scout, Cornick developed pipelines for succession planning, delivered executive hires, and contributed to the company's talent ramp-up efforts, saving over $1 million annually in consultancy fees.
Orson has also contributed to broader organizational initiatives. At Lonza, he designed and presented “The Hunting Academy,” a training module for global recruitment teams. Additionally, his work as a Trustee at Hydestile Resident Animals, a charity founded by his family, reflects his dedication to community engagement and environmental stewardship.

Since joining us at the start of 2023, Jai has truly embodied what it means to be a 'Paracruiter.' He has worked on projects across Europe and North America, helping our clients fill key roles such as Global Head of HR, Senior Vice President of Business Development, and Head of QC, among many others. With a thirst for knowledge, Jai has already started contributing articles to our ParaSights blog. Deshane Hemmings is an Apprentice at Paracruiter, working towards his Business Administrator (Level 3) qualification. As part of his apprenticeship, he contributes to our team in the role of Global Talent Sourcer, where he helps connect exceptional professionals with exciting opportunities in the life sciences sector.
In his day-to-day work, Deshane supports our recruiters by mapping out talent pools, conducting detailed research, and reaching out to potential candidates across global markets. He takes pride in his ability to spot individuals with the right mix of skills and potential, ensuring our clients have access to diverse and qualified pipelines of talent. His role is integral in building long-term relationships and keeping the recruitment process running smoothly behind the scenes.

Gracie Williams
Gracie Williams is an Apprentice at Paracruiter, currently studying for her Business Administrator (Level 3) qualification. Alongside her apprenticeship, she plays a vital role in our team as a Global Talent Sourcer.
In this position, Gracie focuses on identifying, engaging, and building relationships with talented professionals across the globe. She partners closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand role requirements, then proactively searches for qualified candidates through channels such as social media, professional networks, and specialist databases. Her work ensures we maintain a strong and diverse talent pipeline, enabling Paracruiter to fill critical positions quickly and effectively.
Gracie’s responsibilities also include managing candidate outreach, conducting initial screenings, and keeping detailed records of her sourcing activities...all of which contribute to smooth and efficient recruitment processes for our clients.
